Digrammia mellistrigata? - Digrammia neptaria

Digrammia mellistrigata? - Digrammia neptaria
Santa Fe, Santa Fe County, New Mexico, USA
July 24, 2017

Moved from Digrammia.

Moved from Macariini.

I would suggest more like which is in range. Not from your area so I cannot place to species for you. Will ask Libby
Avis to look at this one.

I'm not familiar with moths from New Mexico either,
so don't feel I can make a definitive call to species.

However, it looks to me more like Digrammia neptaria as Ann suggests. They're very similar, but the photos I've seen of mellistrigata show the PM line turning up at a sharp angle just before it reaches the costa, which isn't the case in neptaria or in this photo.

Moved from ID Request.
