what i was trying to say was, why did you rule out this species? looks like a good match to me...

 
I didn't run this bug through a key
I was just "image shopping" and didn't think it was A. cazieri simply because when I photographed a mating pair in El Paso, Texas almost two years ago, both specimens appeared intensely dark red, but the one I encountered yesterday seemed a yellowish tone of red. As you know, many species have a wide range of color variation and this might be the case here. Another possibility to explain this color difference is the fact that I used different photo equipment on each occasion. If it looks like a good match to you, it definitely looks like a good match to me too :-)
