Hodges #5248 - Sweet-potato Leaffolder Moth - Lygropia tripunctata

Hodges #5248 - Sweet-potato Leaffolder Moth - Lygropia tripunctata
Tallahassee, Leon County, Florida, USA
July 24, 2017
Size: Forewing ≈14mm
Captured while resting at midnight on house wall ≈30cm above black light illuminated sheet. Comparing this moth (unfortunately quite worn) with the 5 images of Lygropia tripunctata shown in BugGuide and MPG, I am quite sure that it is the same species. However, considering its apparent rarity, I would appreciate confirmation of the ID.

Moved
I am grateful to James Hayden for verifying the ID by dissection. ID also supported by barcoding, BOLD-3J81I4TH9. Moved from Butterflies and Moths.
