dark syrphid fly - Xylota angustiventris - Male

Found this fly on prairie dock in my backyard prairie restoration. Abdomen appeared to be a dark metallic blue without any yellowish markings.

Looks like markings restricted to tergite 2; tergite 3 and 4 wider than parallel sided tergite 2; base of wings hyaline.
Could this be Xylota angustiventris ...... male.
