Cyclophora myrtaria

Cyclophora myrtaria
Block Island, Washington County, Rhode Island, USA
July 25, 2017

Moved from Cyclophora. Thanks for the pointer. After consideration of that offset dot and a few other features of the PM lines, I believe this is myrtaria. Presumably these feed on the bayberry that dominates the area around my house.

Moved from ID Request. If I remember correctly, the best way to separate the myrtaria from packardi is the the third or fourth spot in from the costa on the PM line is offset in one of the two species. I can't remember which is which.
