Spider - Micrathena mitrata

Spider - Micrathena mitrata
Cross Plains, Dane County, Wisconsin, USA
August 29, 2007
Size: ~6 mm
If there hadn't been a leaf hanging from this spider's web, I would have ended up walking right through it. The spider had constructed a web across a wide path in the park. Is this from the Genus Micrathena?

Micrathena sp.
This is shaped like M. m*itrata but doesn't have the black marks that the ones in the guide do... so maybe another species?

Yes
this is M. mitrata.
