I haven't seen this cat before - Harrisina americana

I haven't seen this cat before - Harrisina americana
Baton Rouge, Bluebonnet Swamp Nature Center, East Baton Rouge Parish, Louisiana, USA
July 30, 2017
Size: about 3/4 inch
Found on pepper vine that was tangled with passion flower vine.
Several other vines and other plants in caterpillar reach.
I assume that the reddish-brown lump on its back is poop from someone else(?).

Grapeleaf Skeletonizer…
See reference here.

Found grape leaves,
muscadine.
In the same clump of vines where I found the cat.
On a quick look, I did not find skeletonized leaves or more cats, but I will look harder.

Thanks for adding to the fun.

Thanks, Ross.
I will look tomorrow for grapes in the area. We have lots. We had an adult IDed on BugGuide in June.
