My Pet Insect - Schistocerca

My Pet Insect - Schistocerca
Mid-city Los Angeles, Los Angeles County, California, USA
July 31, 2017
Size: .75"
He/She has been living on the same potted Hibiscus in my yard for about 4-5 weeks, and has not changed size in that time. As far as I know, it hasn't gone anywhere else, and there are no others. It seems to prefer eating the petals and the pollen, rather than the leaves. It almost seems tame, as I can get really close to it; either that or it doesn't see very well.
