Invasion in Massachusetts
I just read the following article in my local paper and was curious to see what this destructive invader looked like. Thanks for the pictures!

WORCESTER, Mass. (AP) — A destructive invasive beetle has been discovered in trees in Worcester.
Local, state and federal officials say the Asian longhorned beetle was found in the Kendrick Field section of the city over the weekend. City Manager Michael O'Brien says Worcester is just the fourth place in the country the beetles have been found.

He says the only way of controlling the insects is to wait until the first frost, then destroy the trees they have bored into. Until then, no trees or tree limbs will be removed from a 1.5-mile radius around the area where the beetle was discovered.

The beetles are native to China are from 1 to 1 1/2 inches long. They have shiny black bodies with white spots and sweeping black and white antennae.

Officials are not sure how the beetle got to Worcester.

Data
It would be nice to have the date and location. This info is pretty important, specially so with an uncommon species.

probably unknown by submitter
see forum. Hope they stay uncommon - better yet, extinct here.
