Isocorypha mediostriatella - male

Isocorypha mediostriatella - Male
Block Island, Washington County, Rhode Island, USA
July 30, 2017
det. T Harrison, 2018

"Your moth appears to have a uniformly dark forewing, but it does have the distinctive yellow antenna of I. mediostriatella, and the genitalia (including trilobed valva, which is unique to mediostriatella among spp. assigned to Isocorypha) are identical to those of a moth from my collection that has, on the forewing, the standard yellow markings of I. mediostriatella." T. Harrison, pers. comm.
