Loveland, Larimer County, Colorado, USA
August 2, 2017
Spotted on a trail near our home

Sympetrum corruptum (male)
Moved from Dragonflies.

I had John and Jane Balaban look at your image and they agree that it is Sympetrum corruptum.

Thanks
Thanks to all for your help in identifying this dragonfly.

Moved
Moved from Red Rock Skimmer.

Paltothemis lineatipes (male)
Moved from ID Request.

This is an excellent find.
You might want to show this image to some of the local odonate experts.

EDIT - I think now that my initial ID was wrong. I failed to notice the yellow dots on the thorax. This may just be Sympetrum corruptum.
