yellow eyed and yellow legged bee of Lippia (Phyla) - Calliopsis andreniformis - Male

Size: 5-6mm
Sudden appearance in late July chiefly on Lippia (Phyla)lanceolata. The bees are fairly numerous, preferring to forage in the early afternoon. All individuals appear very similar so definition of sexes difficult for me
