by the way
if you're interested, Alaska is a great region for psyllid diversity and has much potential for contributing new species to BugGuide. The majority of the Alaskan psyllid fauna (over 20 species) are associated with willows (
Salix spp.
). Nearly all of them would be new to the guide.

I heard
I heard that many are associated with willows but I haven't seen any yet. I have a couple willow trees in my driveway I will take a look at and some in another part of town I spend I lot of time at so I will definitely see if I can find some. I'm also really excited to hear I have photographed all the fireweed psyllids! Sometimes my photos don't turn out as good as I hoped so I sometimes reconsider submitting but I'm glad I didn't!

Craspedolepta subpunctata
This series consists of multiple individuals; this one, at least, is
C. subpunctata
, though there are also
C. nebulosa here
. Both species feed on fireweed, along with
C. schwarzi
which you submitted last month. With this submission you've now photographed all of the currently known fireweed psyllids in the world, and you add this species to BugGuide.
