Tiger Moth
This might be an Elegant Tussock Moth, Euchaetes elegans, but I'm not sure.

Thanks Bob. I'll add a lateral view that might help. At least it shows the antennae and another angle of the wing markings.

Male
Now we can see the small orange patch, on the back of the head and the branched antennae of a male. Also visible in the image above, the terminal abdominal segment is not white, which is consistent with the gender. = ♂

 
I see. It was hard to spread
I see. It was hard to spread his wings without losing too many scales, breaking something or just having him fly away. I'm not as dexterous as I once was.

Anyway, mission accomplished.
