Megachilinae at any rate (female)
As indicated by "ventral" brush (pollen-collecting device). Most likely Mechachile sp. (Leaf-cutter), but maybe Lithurgus too. Dr Asher will know more.

Lithurgus are cactus bees in the USA and do not occur in the NW.

Dr. Ascher, thanks for piping in. I *may* have other angles on this particular critter. Are there other angles/parts of the bee that would be most helpful in trying to ID this type of bee?
