Bee - Lasioglossum coriaceum - male

Bee - Lasioglossum coriaceum - Male
Franklin Creek State Natural Area, Lee County, Illinois, USA

Moved from Lasioglossum.

Lasioglossum (Lasioglossum) male
likely L. coriaceum, which has enlarged mandibles, but I'm not certain

No clue
I'm indeed doubtful whether this impressive (potential) biter is a bee or some Crabronid Wasp, as basitarsi are really thin, seemingly cylindrical. On the other hand, face and general habitus are quite bee-like.
If a bee, a male Chelostoma or Heriades (Megachilidae) would be a possibility.
