Leaf-footed bugs (Leptoglossus phyllopus) mating pair - Leptoglossus phyllopus - male - female

Leaf-footed bugs (Leptoglossus phyllopus) mating pair - Leptoglossus phyllopus - Male Female
Hamilton, Mercer County, New Jersey, USA
August 11, 2017
Size: 1ΒΌ inches
If it can be distinguished, I would be interested in which is the male and which is the female. While taking a set of pictures of this mating pair, I observed a third individual that seemed to be attempting to break up the mating, presumably a male trying to mate with the female?

Moved from ID Request.

I don't have a clue as to how to differentiate the sexes, unfortunately.
