Thanks Bob
I created a new tribe page, on down according to All-Leps.

There's a recent "movement"
toward making the Guide less complicated (or at least NOT making it MORE complicated) by not adding subfamilies, tribes etc. when the number of taxa they contain is only one or a few. See
moth tree cleanup
for example. There's only one genus (
Psilocorsis
) in the tribe Amphibastini in North America, so there's no good reason to have Amphibastini in the Guide at all.
There have also been a number of recent forum topics about the effect of taxonomic levels on Guide structure & function. Examples:
Tenebrionids
, and
Families > Subfamilies > Tribes etc.
, and
Coccinellid subfamilies
. I think it's important that you become aware of these issues, Tom, because you're an active editor, and the editing issues being discussed can directly affect the structure and function of BugGuide itself.
P.S. the specific epithet is spelled "cryptolechiella"

Simple is better
I'd love to see all the subfamilies and tribes gone, especially from the moth pages. When I get a new one identified, sometimes it's a real challenge trying to find where to place it in this system, even if I know the family.
Keep up the good work Robin. Bugguide is a lot better site with all your help!
