Identification
Adult: FW is usually paler orange or yellow than
Psilocorsis quercicella, but with several thin, dark gray to brown transverse lines (not blotches). Adterminal line runs only halfway from costa to anal angle. Fringe darker gray or brownish.

Maine to Florida, west to Arkansas and Texas.

Food
Larvae feed on chestnut, locust, northern bayberry and have been reared on oaks. Larvae create a leaf shelter.
