Sonora Pass area on high ridge divide between McKay and Leavitt Creeks, Mono County, California, USA

Size: approx 1/2 inch
Observed feeding (pollinating) on rabbitbrush flower at 10,400 feet at edge of alpine. A beautiful species of Sierran biodiversity!
