Bombus balteatus? - Bombus mixtus

Bombus balteatus? - Bombus mixtus
Gumboot Creek, Shasta Trinity National Forest, Siskiyou County, California, USA
August 3, 2017
Found at about 6,000 ft. elevation on a thistle and on Hastingsia alba. The location was alongside a small stream flowing through serpentine rock with flowers growing on both sides and a meadow near-by. I have been to the area a number of times, but have never seen a bumble bee marked like this. There were other species of bumble bee there too.
