This water scavenger beetle came to our porchlight.

Without seeing the venter or male protarsi, it is not possible to distinguish H. triangularis and H. insularis, both of which are present in southern Arizona

I just recently found on of those in my grandpa's backyard. Again, nice find. :)

Haven't seen one of these myself in awhle, but oddly got a giant water bug and a dystiscid at lights earlier this summer:-) Nice find.
