Rusty-patched Bumble Bee - Bombus affinis

Rusty-patched Bumble Bee - Bombus affinis
DuPage County, Illinois, USA
August 18, 2017
I think this is a male? I found it on a patch of joe pye weed in my garden along with a lot of other bumblebees. I could only find the one rusty-patched in the group. I did see what I think was the same individual the next day again on the same plants. The other bumblebees were mostly common eastern ones. I also saw a golden northern, brown-belted, and maybe a two-spotted as well in the mix.
