Skinny red wasp - Meteorus

Skinny red wasp - Meteorus
Santa Cruz, Santa Cruz County, California, USA
August 14, 2017
Size: ~6mm
Then legs, body, and antennae, all brick red. Wings reflecting spectral colors, not much venation but some veins almost black in color. The ocelli appear blue, and the compound eyes seem to show dark blue. Unusual small diameter but relatively high bump on the lower part of the thorax. Male?

Moved from ID Request.

Meteorus (male)…
See reference here.

Thanks Ross, likely just a coincidence, but...
...I noticed that one of the Meteorus species is a parasite of the Army Worm, and I saw an Army Worm moth not long ago.

The wasp species being Aleiodes laphygmae, Army Worm Mummy Wasp.

Wait! What? Somehow I jumped Genera into Aleiodes! Never mind! Wrong Genus! Sorry!

How about this? The Genus Meteorus I read has a wide variety of hosts including some cutworm moths. I've photographed several, but not posted them. There may be a connection to be made yet!
