Not sure.... Please help, Locust / Grasshopper? -
Conocephalus attenuatus
-
Oswego, Oswego County, New York, USA
August 21, 2017
Size: 1 1/2" or so
Not sure here. I'm guessing a grasshopper or locust. First I've observed here in New York. I can't thank all of you enough as usual for helping me identifying insects!

I think this is a male Conocephalus attenuatus, not commonly seen! Still looking for it in Ithaca (supposedly recorded from around here)

This is the first year I have
This is the first year I have seen... EVER, in Oswego, N.Y., I've been photographing insects now for 7 years... so this was a very nice surprise for me! I hope you find one in Ithaca!
