Agelenidae
Hi Sarah,
This is definitely a spider in the Agelenidae family. They are commonly called funnel-web weavers because they make a living making a little funnel which spreads out to a fine sheet where prey is caught. The species are quite hard to differentiate, so my best guess is an Agelenopsis spp.
I hope this helps!

Thanks so much!
Are there any particular features that are best for identification?
