Carolina Ground Cricket - Eunemobius carolinus - female

Carolina Ground Cricket - Eunemobius carolinus - Female
Wenham, Essex County, Massachusetts, USA
September 3, 2007
Several of these in a dry vernal pool in a forest.

Moved

Female.
This is a female specimen....Forgive me for asking, but how was the identification made? Several genera were split from Nemobius, and then there is further difficulty in assessing species....

Bug Guide Photos
I made the ID based on the four other photos (and info) presently in Bug Guide -- all from Massachusetts as well. And after considering all other cricket possibilities for the northeast. Thanks for asking Eric, please correct me if I am wrong.
