Well... Found on swingset underneath an oak tree. Nice spiny orange caterpillar... any ideas? Maybe some sort of Tiger Moth?

That "J" position
certainly makes it look like an Acronicta, and it may be another in that increta / ovata complex that Wagner talks about. WIll check the book when we get home.
