Braconid wasp? - Alabagrus texanus

Braconid wasp? - Alabagrus texanus
Austin, Travis County, Texas, USA
September 4, 2007
Size: 1/2 inch
This looked and acted like a small wasp, but in the photos the antennae look very long.

Agathidinae
Alabagrus texanus (Cresson) (Braconidae : Agathidinae)

Thank you!
How great to finally have a braconid expert visiting here! Thank you so much.

product of sleep deprivation
I don't really know a thing about wasps, but I have insomnia and am in a froody mood for browsing, so what does anyone think of Braconid?

I'd say you've earned a nice rest, joot.
Looks right to me. Guessing a bit, I'd say this specimen is a male due to long antennae and no ovipositor that I can see.

Oh, and thanks again. You've indirectly IDed one of my recent posts.
