This medium/large brown intricate patterned moth with some blue highlights was hiding in the corner of our breezeway until dark and then it was gone.

Size estimate
The moth was in a groove in the paneling that measured 40mm so from the nose to the tip of the wing was about 50mm.
The picture was taken with an upward angle and I wonder if the angle had anything to do with the blue color seen in the picture - somehow reflecting off the wing.
