My five cents worth
These tiny moths are rather common also at my lights here at another site in Tallahassee, and I agree with Ann that this one is
Parapoynx diminutalis
judging by the few markings on its hindwings: The hindwings of
allionealis
are much "busier" as on this one

Thanks very much for your help with this moth Peter. Anne's comments and yours have confirmed for me that this is P. diminutalis. I often rely on your collection to help me with IDs in Tallahassee. I hope we will have an opportunity to meet sometime. Best, Bob

Hi Anne. I think you are correct. It does indeed look more like diminutalis. I had not seen that one before and thought allionealis was a good match. Thanks for the correction. A beautiful little moth anyway, and one I had not seen before! Thanks again.

Bob, these are so tiny and difficult to read that I will wait for someone else to move to species. I see P. allioneales here and the lines are usually close together and appear almost wavy, but I have never actually seen P. diminutalis.

You are certainly right about them being tiny. I also think my specimen has quite a bit of wear making it difficult to match well to anything. Thanks for sharing your knowledge. We'll wait to see what others think.
