Yellow-banded Leafcutter Bee? - Megachile fidelis - female

Yellow-banded Leafcutter Bee? - Megachile fidelis - Female
Tenino, Thurston County, Washington, USA
August 28, 2017
Size: 10mm
Brilliant yellow-banded abdomen on this very skittish leafcutter(?) bee. Appears to use bee boards but has strange habit of entering multiple holes and staying in the holes for very long periods of time. One image shows an extraction it made from a hole, looks like a bit of leaf. Only seen on douglas aster despite a great variety of forage flowers available.
