Came to MV lamp. All of the specimens on MPG have black marks at the apex of the forewing. There is one specimen in BOLD that seems to match the specimen being submitted for identification.

It is probably a real Gondysia smithii, since one of the BOLD images looks like it, but I'm not sure if Gondysia telma can also have this type of an aberration from the norm.

My concern was the consistenc
My concern was the consistency of the other photos. I felt more comfortable finding the one similar image in BOLD.

Hmmm ...
I don't know anything else that looks like this. I think your specimen is just worn.
