Two individuals nectaring on broad-winged thistle (Carduus acanthoides). The bee on the left is shown by itself in the second image. Observed along dirt road next to a high elevation wetland dominated by leatherleaf, sedges, sphagnum and highbush blueberry. Adjacent forest mixed hemlock and deciduous northern hardwoods.
