Arizona Moth - Pseudomarimatha flava

Arizona Moth - Pseudomarimatha flava
Pinery Canyon Road - Chiricahua Mountains, Cochise County, Arizona, USA
June 16, 2017
Looks like Marimatha sp., but none illustrated has a gray collar, or such irregular wing speckling. Several sightings this June night in the Chiricahua Mts, AZ. Submitted for ID help, second of 2 different sightings.

good find!
I do a lot of looking "through the cracks" on MPG when they don't show images - looking past there into places like BOLD or Microleps or BG), but this species gave no hint based on the things nearest to it (for instance how utterly different 9297.2 and 9298 from this species)! I don't know how long it would have taken me to grind this one out on my own - thanks a ton for getting that itch scratched. Hey - wish you could hook up with me when I go back to AZ Sept 13-20, but I reckon it's school days for you.

Yep, back at school right now.
I was collecting in Cochise County, AZ back in July though. Good luck!
