Pollinator 7 - Eristalis tenax

Pollinator 7 - Eristalis tenax
Rideau Lakes (Elgin) , Leeds and Grenville, Ontario, Canada
September 2, 2017
Size: 1/2" approx
Taking a pollen break on a woodland sunflower leaf, around noon.

Moved
Moved from ID Request.

Eristalis tenax
Broad facial stripe and pruinose thorax with pattern and terminal band on tergite 2 orange ...... Eristalis tenax .... female.
The only other Nearctic Eristalis with pruinose thorax forming a pattern is arbustorum which doesn`t have a facial stripe and the terminal bands are broader and usually white.

ID
Thank you! :)

Hoverfly, probably Eristalis
Looks to me an Eristalis species, perhaps E. tenax but eyes are out of focus making species ID uncertain (for me at least!)

Cat
Thank you!
