Leptoglossus corculus NJ February - Leptoglossus corculus

Leptoglossus corculus NJ February - Leptoglossus corculus
Highland Park, Middlesex County, New Jersey, USA
February 27, 2012
Size: 17 mm
Found overwintering in a stack of bricks I was moving. Suburban habitat; not many pines nearby, but there are one or two yards with white pines within a block or so. I put it back in a nice crevice after its 15 min of fame.

Are you sure you can rule out occidentalis?
I'm not getting a very good look at the tibial extensions.

I uploaded a couple more images
that show the hind tibia better. I think it is L. corculus, but am happy to stand corrected.

I think you're right.
The second shot clearly shows the unequal lobes of the tibial extensions. Thanks for posting the additional images.
