Skippers mating? - Hylephila phyleus

I found these skippers in my back yard today, presumably mating. Any suggestions as to variety of skipper?

Fiery Skipper
Hylephila phyleus. Nice incursion north this year.

Fiery Skippers
Thanks for the ID. Is there a gender reason for one being noticeably darker than the other, or is it just an individual variation?

Gender Variation
The reason the one on the right is different is due, in part, to gender variation. It seems like the females are slightly more subdued than the males. I think the reason it's darker is due to the lighting. See what I mean by this shot:
