Explanation of Names
Leucania amygdalina (Harvey, 1878), formerly treated as a synonym of L. linita in the 1983 Hodges Checklist, is raised to full species status in Lafontaine & Schmidt (2015). (1)
Range
Southern Canada and New England westward to IL and IN and southward probably to NJ. (1) There may be some overlap from NJ to NC.
See Also
Leucania linita replaces L. amygdalina from MD to FL and west to TX. There may be overlap from southern NJ to NC. Dissection or DNA is required for separation. - Lafontaine & Schmidt (per. comm. 9/7/2017)
