Snakefly eating Horsefly. - Dicromantispa sayi - female

Snakefly eating Horsefly. - Dicromantispa sayi - Female
Rochester, Beaver County, Pennsylvania, USA
September 9, 2017
Size: 1ΒΌ" inch=33mm=3.3cm).
Hanging out near a porch light.
She snagged a "Greenhead Horsefly" (Saltmarsh Greenhead), Greenhead & equalized justice on it by having it it for in lunch... ;- )

Moved
Moved from Mantispinae.

The reported size should be well outside the range of L. pulchella, which further corroborates Aaron's suspicion.

I'm not able to discern enough detail to make a clear ID
...but this appears to pose the classic "Dicromantispa sayi vs. Leptomantispa pulchella" dilemma.

For what it's worth, the comparatively long & narrow wings; somewhat transversely "rumpled" pronotum; and gestalt of the color/pattern make me tend to side with D. sayi here...but that's just my "best shot", not a dependable ID.
