Eastern Carpenter bee male? - Xylocopa virginica - male

Eastern Carpenter bee male? - Xylocopa virginica - Male
Maypearl, Ellis County, Texas, USA
September 11, 2017
I'm pretty sure this is a male Eastern Carpenter Bee, but wanted confirmation. This one is a bit smaller than I'm used to seeing and certainly has a lot more hair on it's body and legs than normal. We've had both Eastern and Southern Carpenter Bees in our garden this summer.
