Katydid - Scudderia - male

Katydid - Scudderia - Male
Kensington County, Prince Edward Island, Canada
I don't know how to narrow it down any further.

Moved from ID Request.

Genus Scudderia?
Any other views? To distinguish furcata and septentrionalis, (assuming it is Scudderia), it would be useful to see the end of the abdomen a bit more clearly.

furcata:

septentrionalis:

No I didn't get a better shot
No I didn't get a better shot. When I first saw it I wondered if it was injured because its abdomen seemed to end abruptly. So maybe septentrionalis.
I also just added another picture from two months ago. I assume it's the same species, just less developed. I didn't see katydids anywhere else this year, but I see them every time I go to this one field.

The other one is a early female
while this is a male adult. The abdomen differences are for males only, sadly.
