Found: undescribed larva! - Eleates depressus
Jefferson Notch area, Coos County, New Hampshire, USA
Size: adluts 5.5mm, larva 8.5mm
I thought this was comical. The larva was looking for something easier to cling to than the slick plastic deli container so it climbed aboard. I imagined sending steed and rider across the desk of a specialist who, in the instant before spotting the pair under his nose, might have been wondering why the larvae of this species had never been reported. Oops, time for my meds ;-)
