Large Cuckoo Leafcutter Bee - Coelioxys modestus -

This female cuckoo bee is unusually long (14 mm). The bee has partial, interrupted bands that extend from the sides of its abdomen, as well as narrow uninterrupted bands that rim the base of each tergum. The apex of S-6 is pointed.
Found feeding on yellow helenium in public garden of semi-urban area. Megachile inimica and texana seen same day in same area.
