Poecilanthrax willistonii Why did you think that this might be something else? The abdomen isn't showing as well as the one from...yesterday.

You are likely correct. I wondered about it being another P willistonii, but I once was braced up for making the ID of P willistonii in a Poecilanthrax that did not have the penultimate tergite band. If you really think P willistonii is the correct ID, I'll just delete these suboptimal shots. Thanks for the insight Bob :o)

I don't think that you should delete them! The last image shows the hairs on the penultimate tergite are lighter in color. This is a character quality for that species.
