Blissidae on Prairie Cord Grass - Ischnodemus falicus

Blissidae on Prairie Cord Grass - Ischnodemus falicus
Winneshiek County, Iowa, USA
September 11, 2017
When sweeping Prairie Cord Grass, Spartina pecinata in Winneshiek County (Mike’s Prairie Road Ditch and Plymouth Rock) for these:

inadvertently collected blissids. Seeing that the nymphs collected with adults weren't ID’d to species on BG, I confined nymphs with host plants.

September, 7, 2017: 2 nymphs,1 died
September 11, 2017: added 4 nymphs,1 died
September 15, 2017: 2 adults, 1 exuvium found
September 16, 2017: 1 adult found next to an exuviae between the leaf blade and the stem which seems to be where these hang out. Found a 3rd exuvium.
