Bombus pensylvanicus? - Bombus pensylvanicus - male

Bombus pensylvanicus? - Bombus pensylvanicus - Male
Iowa City, Johnson County, Iowa, USA
September 9, 2017
Size: 20-25mm
There were somewhere around 5-7 of these on this thistle, not sure if they were all the same species but they did all seem to be male. They were less broad than an auricomus worker but probably as long if not longer. I couldn't get any good head shots but none of them had conspicuously yellow heads. This one has orange on the last segment so I'm thinking pensylvanicus.
