Tiny Mottled Grasshopper - Tetrix arenosa

Tiny Mottled Grasshopper - Tetrix arenosa
Bowie, Prince George's County, Maryland, USA
April 5, 2005
Size: 12 mm
I assume this is an immature specimen. I have no idea if it has wings. I do know it can jump/zip horizontally at least 50x its body length.....and fast!

Moved from Pygmy Grasshoppers.

Very much mature Tetrix arenosa
In fact this one has long wings and can fly (show better under the pronotum in the second photo).
