Carpenter Ants (Camponotus sp.)
Winged individuals are all males on this picture. Unfortunately, I don't know this colorful species. It seems at once too red and not shining enough to be C. americanus.

Edit (June 25th 2008): this "colorful" species is Camponotus chromaiodes.
