Is this a bed bug? - Luridiblatta trivittata
Rohnert Park, Sonoma County, California, USA
September 22, 2017
Size: .5 cm
Never had any experience with bed bugs. Found this in my son's apartment crawling on the outside of my suitcase. Have looked online for anything that matches. Doesn't quite look like the pictures of bed bugs that I've seen.

Moved, L.trivittata indeed...
An introduced cockroach species that has established itself in CA. Luckily, they are an outdoor species, that only wanders in occasionally, they won't infest your house or anything. ;)

Moved from Cockroaches and Termites.

Infestation
They have infested my home in northern California and they are in the kitchen and bathroom.

Probably wandering in from outdoors...
Their oothecae need a dry period to hatch, followed by sudden moisture, so basically they can not hatch indoors... Therefore they are probably just abundant in your area and are wandering indoors by mistake, where they will likely die of starvation within a week.

Moved
Moved from ID Request.

Not a Bed Bug
It's a cockroach of some kind--maybe this one:
